2: LAB PRACTICAL: Charge on a Tape: Determine the magnitude of the charge on a piece of scotch tape. Works well with repulsive tapes, each student holds a tape and a third measures the distance. Students should repeat distance measurements.

Damage Control: Kids need to accelerate ride-on carts with bathroom scales, keeping the reading on the scale constant (20 lbs). Two carts in the hallway (helmets!). Kids trade places, important kinestetic activity. In class, two opposing magnets on one lab cart. BIG IDEA: The only way to predict the motion of an object is to determine if the interactions are balanced or unbalanced.
